So I have decided to slightly alter the way my project is presented. Originally I was going to make a video to accompany the songs featuring the sketched that I have done. However I felt that it wouldn't be engaging enough and might bore the viewer, especially as it would be around the 20 minute mark. I started to look at ways at other ways in which music had been presented by other artists. What comes to mind is exhibitions showcasing a bands career through memorabilia and pieces that have inspired the band. Most recently, Pink Floyd's exhibition, Their Mortal Remains, which also had a book release alongside it with never before seen photographs. From this I decided to make a kind of scrapbook/photo album. With it I would include not just the sketches that I did but also photos that I took back at home and some that my father took whilst travelling in India. Added to this it will also feature the lyrics for each song so that the reader can read the lyrics and see the images that correspond with the meaning of each song. Hopefully this will provide a more immersive experience whilst listening to the EP. I ordered a really cool leather bound photo album, but with black card so that I can write in colored pencils and it will stand out more.
