UNDERPINNING IDEAS - 1

To start off with, I was mainly just focusing on songs that related to this topic and I came across a few:
Mainly Pink Floyd's Time. This song is perfect for this topic with words such as:
And then you find ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time Plans that either came to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
The song explore how writer Rodger Waters was feeling at the time and how he felt that he was no longer "planning" his life and realised he was in the middle of it. The feeling of time catching up to you is one that I myself find daunting.
Other songs that explore this idea or similar are:
Foo Fighters Times Like These:
Its time like these you learn to live again
It's time like these you give and give again
It's time like these you learn to love again
It's times like these time and time again.
Zero 7 Waiting Line:
Motionless wheel, nothing is real Wasting my time, in the waiting line... Nine till five, living lies Everyday, stealing time
Steelheart We Die Young:
Tell me I know, I lived so afraid And still we cry alone, with words left unsaid
It makes my stomach turn And it tears my flesh from bones How we turn our dreams to stone And we all die young
All these songs touch upon the idea of feeling stuck, and in these moments in life you realise things about yourself, and you grow from them, as well as how painful it is to watch someone not realise their full potential in life and effectively "die young".
