DRUMS RECORDED

So this week the drums were recorded. And everything went good. The first day we had a few problems with the desk but once that was all fixed we were on track. Ludo is great at recording and acting as a producer and I'm glad I asked for his help to record. He has recording ideas that I wouldn't have thought of in order to try and capture the best sound. Added to this he pushes you to do the best you can and will always be straight with you. If a take is crap, he won't hesitate to to tell you and will get the best performance from you. We tried lots of ideas, mice placements, sticks, snares, playing techniques in order to get a wide range of sounds for the songs as some are more upbeat and energetic while others are more relaxed and are meant to have a "flowing" feel to it. So with the drums recorded, the other instruments minus the vocals will be next. Just need to organise those dates. Everything is finally coming together.
