FINALLY STARTING THIS

Right, so. After three weeks of doing nothing and panicking at everything I have to do in 4th year. Today on the 28/09/2017 I have finally made a start. So I have decided to begin with the less daunting stuff... I think. My Creative Music Project. After a few lectures I have decided to make a blog to document my progress through this module and somewhere I can essentially talk to myself and get my ideas out and gradually see myself descend into insanity. So, what will I be doing for my project? A concept EP, around 4 or 5 songs. Why? Cos I want to make some music. What will the story be behind this EP? No F*****G clue. But the idea behind this is that the EP will be a criticism on how due to online, music and streaming sites, the act of sitting down and listening to an album in its entirety is no longer popular. People nowadays are more interested in singles and skipping through playlists only to hear the song they like and are familiar with. Whatever happened to discovering new music and listening to an album as a whole? You couldn't skip with vinyl. Anyway, the way in which I will portray this in the EP, is that the running order will be mixed up. Instead of it being "1, 2, 3, 4, 5" it will read as "4, 1, 5, 2, 3" for example and so seeing as it is a concept EP, it won't make sense in that order, so the irony being that listeners will have to skip to the correct order to understand the story of the EP. I've written down a few ideas as to what the EP could be about but nothing has stuck out. Anyway, at least I've started working on it. Whether or not this blog will be made public is yet to be seen, it will at least be visible for those marking my project and this whole thing could end up being something else entirely. I'm going to try and write here at least once a week or whenever an idea hits. Anyhoo. Bye.
